Emergency Shelter for Animals

Service objective: 

Provide emergency housing for the cats and dogs of women who use the services of L’Accueil Sainte-Famille Inc.

Service availability: 

The service is available Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. Pets are accommodated for as long as necessary. 

Use of the emergency shelter service for animals

• L’Accueil Sainte-Famille will receive requests for services.
• The service will only be offered when no other alternative is available (if help from family and friends is not an option).
• The service is only available to clients of L’Accueil Sainte-Famille.
• The service will be flexible to accommodate women who may need to stay with us for more than 30 days.

Pet owner

• Women using this service will be asked to sign a form attesting to their agreement to the program conditions.
• The client will be responsible for removing the animal from the home.
• The client will not be able to see her pet during her stay.
• L’Accueil Sainte-Famille will have the pet owner's information in its possession to ensure confidentiality.

Confidentiality at all levels of the service will be strictly maintained.
